PER CURIAM:

petitions
for
a
writ
of
mandamus, alleging the district court has unduly delayed acting
on his motion for a reduction in sentence pursuant to 18 U.S.C.
§ 3582(c) (2006), which he filed in May 2005.
He seeks an order
from this court directing the district court to act.
Our review
of the district court’s docket reveals that the district court
has recently dismissed the motion as moot.
Accordingly, because
the district court has issued a ruling on this motion, we deny
the mandamus petition as moot.
