These Motions were received by the Court amid many other filings in the days leading up to the July 29, 2010, effective date of Senate Bill 1070 and House Bill 2162 (collectively, "S.B. 1070"), a set of statutes and statutory revisions. On July 22, 2010, the Court heard oral argument on Plaintiff's Motion for Preliminary Injunction, and on July 28, 2010, the Court granted the Motion in part and denied it in part and preliminarily enjoined the enforcement of certain sections of S.B. 1070. (See Doc. 78, Minute Entry; Doc. 27, Pl.'s Mot. for Prelim. Inj.; Doc. 87, Order.) In light of the time constraints and the numerous Motions and many other amicus briefs filed and reviewed in this case and the other lawsuits challenging S.B. 1070, the Court did not review or consider the above-listed Motions and their accompanying proposed briefs, all of which make arguments related to the issuance of preliminary injunctive relief, before issuing the July 28, 2010, Order on the Motion for Preliminary Injunction. IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED denying the following Motions to file Amicus Curiae briefs as moot: Docs. 14, 30, 37, 46, 49, 52, 57, 66. DATED this 3rd day of September, 2010. -2-
