Kane, Respondent. 13 14 Petitioner Cereste Sanon has filed a petition for writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 15 28 U.S.C. § 2241. Doc. 1. United States Magistrate Judge Michelle H. Burns has issued 16 a report and recommendation (“R&R”) recommending that the petition be dismissed as 17 moot. Doc. 15. No objection has been filed, which relieves the Court of its obligation to 18 review the R&R. See 28 U.S.C. § 636(b)(1); Fed. R. Civ. P. 72(b)(3); Thomas v. Arn, 19 474 U.S. 140, 149 (1985); United States v. Reyna-Tapia, 328 F.3d 1114, 1121 (9th Cir. 20 2003). The Court will accept the R&R and dismiss the petition as moot. 21 IT IS ORDERED: 22 1. The R&R (Doc. 15) is accepted. 23 2. The petition for writ of habeas corpus (Doc. 1) is dismissed as moot. 24 3.
