ORDER GRANTING PETITIONER’S
SECOND EX PARTE APPLICATION
FOR AN EXTENSION OF TIME TO

Before the Court is Petitioner Ernest Dewayne Jones’ ex parte application for an

additional 60-day extension of time to file a reply in support of his opening merits brief
24
on the application of 28 U.S.C. § 2254(d) to the claims in his habeas petition. (Dkt. No.

95.) Petitioner’s application is GRANTED. Petitioner shall file his reply no later than
26
January 13, 2014. Pursuant to the Court’s March 26, 2012 Order denying Petitioner’s
27
request for an evidentiary hearing and ordering merits briefing, and as the parties

expressly agreed in their joint stipulation regarding the schedule for merits briefing,
-1-
1
Petitioner’s briefing shall address how each of the thirty claims asserted in his petition
2
satisfies § 2254(d)(1) and/or § 2254(d)(2). Having failed to brief twenty of the thirty
