This action came on regularly for trial between March 21, 2017, and March
22 29, 2017, in Courtroom 5A of this United States District Court. Plaintiff was Maria
23 Delores Ramirez, represented by John F. Denove and Shane V. Hapuarachy, of
24 Cheong Denove Rowell and Bennett ALPC. Defendant was Officer Joshua Towe,
25 represented by Christian R. Bojorquez, of the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office.

A jury of eight persons was regularly empaneled and sworn. Witnesses were
27 sworn and testified and exhibits were admitted into evidence. After hearing the
28 evidence and arguments of counsel, the jury was duly instructed by the Court and

1 the cause was submitted to the jury. The jury deliberated and thereafter returned a
2 special verdict as follows:
