Following the Court’s Order granting defendant Knight Transportation, Inc.’s
19 Motion for Partial Summary Judgment on plaintiff’s request for exemplary damages,
20 this matter came on regularly for trial on December 5, 2016. The action was tried by
21 a jury with United States Magistrate Judge David T. Bristow presiding. On
22 December 8, 2016, according to the instructions given to the jury and the Special
23 Verdict submitted to the jury, the jury returned its Special Verdict and answered the
