NOTE: CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE TO THIS DOCUMENT 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT 9 CENTRAL DISTRICT OF CALIFORNIA – WESTERN DIVISION 10 11 12 13 14 YOUTH JUSTICE COALITION, a nonprofit organization; PETER ARELLANO and JOSE REZA, individuals, for themselves and on behalf of a class of similarly-situated individuals, 15 16 Plaintiffs, vs. 17 18 Case No.: 2:16-cv-07932-VAP-RAO Complaint Filed: October 25, 2016 ORDER RE: PARTIES’ STIPULATED PROTECTIVE ORDER CITY OF LOS ANGELES, et al., 19 20 Defendants. 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 1 [PROPOSED] ORDER RE: PARTIES’ STIPULATED PROTECTIVE ORDER 1 WHEREAS the Court has considered the Joint Stipulation regarding the 2 Protective Order and the Parties Stipulated Protective Order filed on October 19, 3 2017, by (a) Plaintiffs Youth Justice Coalition, and Peter Arellano and Jose Reza, 4 for themselves and on behalf of a class of similarly-situated individuals, and (b) 5 Defendant City of Los Angeles, (collectively “Parties”); 6 WHEREAS the Parties have conferred and agreed to enter into a Stipulated 7 Protective Order to protect the confidentiality of documents and information that 8 may be produced during the course of this matter, and to facilitate the production 9 of such documents and information; 10 WHEREAS the Parties have conferred and agreed that the Stipulated 11 Protective Order sets forth the conditions under which confidential documents and 12 information in possession of the Parties must be exchanged, used, and protected in 13 this litigation; 14 WHEREAS the Court finds good cause to enter the Stipulated Protective 15 Order, because investigation and discovery activity in this action are likely to 16 involve the production of confidential, proprietary, or private information for 17 which special protections from public disclosure and from use for any purpose 18 other than prosecuting or defending this litigation or any related appellate 19 proceeding; 20 Based on the above-referenced facts, representations, and promises, and 21 good cause appearing therefor, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT the Protective 22 Order is approved and effective as of the date of execution of this Order, with the 23 exception that the Court strikes the last sentence in Paragraph 8. 24 25 IT IS SO ORDERED. 26 27 28 DATED: October 23, 2017 _______________________________________ ROZELLA A.
