Proceedings: IN CHAMBERS - ORDER REMANDING ACTION TO STATE COURT
On February 9, 2017, Defendant Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Inc.
(“BCBSMA”) removed this action to this Court from the Los Angeles Superior Court on the
basis of federal question jurisdiction. [Doc. # 1.] On April 3, 2017, pursuant to the parties’
stipulation, this Court dismissed Defendant BCBSMA. [Doc. # 12.] None of the remaining
defendants have yet appeared herein.
Plaintiff and the remaining defendants are California citizens and all the claims alleged
against the remaining defendants are state law claims. As such, because of the dismissal of
Defendant BCBSMA, this Court no longer has subject matter over this case.
Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED that this action be, and is hereby, remanded to the
Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles.
