1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 On December 17, 2008, Plaintiff, proceeding pro se and in forma pauperis, filed the present 18 action for judicial review of the denial of Social Security benefits. 19 On May 3, 2010, the Court issued an order to show cause to Plaintiff for his failure to file an 20 opening brief. On May 25, 2010, Plaintiff requested an extension of time from the Court. However, 21 on May 24, 2010, Plaintiff filed his opening brief. The order to show cause was therefore discharged 22 and the Court denied the request for an extension of time as moot, or unnecessary, on May 27, 2010. 23 On June 21, 2010, Plaintiff filed a request for clarification of the Court's May 27, 2010, 24 order. Rather, it addressed the request and denied it as unnecessary because Plaintiff had already filed his opening brief. The Court accepted the opening brief and this action is proceeding.
