ASTRUE, COMMISSIONER OF SOCIAL 13 SECURITY, 14 15 16 Plaintiff is proceeding pro se with an action seeking 17 judicial review of a final decision of the Commissioner of Social 18 Security (Commissioner) denying Plaintiff's application for 19 benefits. 20 I. Application to Proceed in Forma Pauperis 21 Pending before the Court are Plaintiff's motions to proceed 22 in forma pauperis, filed on March 2, 2009, and April 13, 2009. 23 Plaintiff has submitted a declaration that makes the showing 24 required by 1915(a). Accordingly, the request to proceed in 25 forma pauperis IS GRANTED. 28 U.S.C. 1915(a). 26 II. The Court will direct the United States Marshal to 8 serve Plaintiff's complaint only after the Court has screened the 9 complaint and determined that it contains cognizable claims for 10 relief against the named defendants.
