RIOS, 12 13 (DOCUMENT # 16) Respondent. ________________________________/ 14 15 Petitioner is a prisoner proceeding pro se with a petition for writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2241. 16 On March 1, 2011, judgment was entered dismissing the petition for writ of habeas 17 corpus. On April 22, 2011, petitioner filed a notice of appeal, a motion for certificate of 18 appealability and an application to proceed in forma pauperis. Examination of petitioner’s 19 application to proceed in forma pauperis reveals that petitioner is unable to afford the costs of an 20 appeal. Accordingly, the application to proceed in forma pauperis on appeal is GRANTED.
