Plaintiff Jesse Washington is appearing pro se and in forma pauperis in this civil rights action 18 pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983. Pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 636(c), both parties consented to the 19 jurisdiction of the United States magistrate judge. (ECF Nos. 36, 82, 84.) 20 This action is proceeding against Defendant Samuels for retaliation in violation of the First 21 Amendment, and is now ready to be scheduled for jury trial before the undersigned.
