Plaintiff William Thomas Coats (“Plaintiff”) is a state prisoner proceeding pro se and in
14
forma pauperis in this civil rights action pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983. This action proceeds
15
against Defendants Dr. Muhammad Chaudhri and John Doe emergency medical staff for

On September 5, 2017, the Magistrate Judge issued findings and recommendations

recommending that Defendant Chaudhri’s motion for summary judgment be granted. (ECF No.

45.) Those findings and recommendations were served on the parties and contained notice that
20
any objections thereto were to be filed within fourteen (14) days after service. (Id. at p. 16.) On
21
September 21, 2017, Plaintiff timely filed objections. (ECF No. 48.)
22
In accordance with the provisions of 28 U.S.C. § 636 (b)(1)(C), this court has conducted a
23
de novo review of this case. The court has reviewed Plaintiff’s objections, but finds no basis
24
warranting rejection of the Magistrate Judge’s findings and recommendations. Having carefully
25
reviewed the entire file, the court finds the findings and recommendations to be supported by the
26
record and by proper analysis.
27

28
By separate order, the Court has directed Plaintiff to show cause why the doe defendants should not be
dismissed from this action. (ECF No. 46.) Plaintiff responded to that order on September 21, 2017. (ECF No. 47.)
