Individuals detained pursuant to California 16 Welfare and Institutions Code § 6600 et seq. are civil detainees and are not prisoners within the 17 meaning of the Prison Litigation Reform Act. Page v. Torrey, 201 F.3d 1136, 1140 (9th Cir. 2000). 18 On January 23, 2017, Plaintiff filed a motion for leave to file a third amended complaint. 19 Defendants have not filed an opposition or statement of non-opposition. Local Rule 230(l). 20 Accordingly, within fifteen (15) days from the date of service of this order, Defendants shall file an 21 opposition or statement of non-opposition to Plaintiff’s motion to amend. 22 23 24 25 IT IS SO ORDERED.
