Individuals detained pursuant to California Welfare and Institutions 19 Code § 6600 et seq. are civil detainees and are not prisoners within the meaning of the Prison 20 Litigation Reform Act. Page v. Torrey, 201 F.3d 1136, 1140 (9th Cir. 2000). On May 14, 2015, Defendant Okapla filed a motion to dismiss the complaint as a violation of 21 22 the Court’s January 29, 2015, screening order and as barred by the applicable statute of limitations. 23 (ECF No. 16.) Plaintiff has not filed an opposition or statement of non-opposition to Defendant’s motion, as 24 25 required by Local Rule 230(l). Accordingly, within thirty (30) days from the date of service of this 26 order, Plaintiff shall file an opposition or statement of non-opposition to Defendant’s pending motion 27 /// 28 /// 1 1 to dismiss. Failure to comply with this order will result in dismissal of the action for failure to comply 2 with a court order.
