1 2 UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT 3 FOR THE EASTERN DISTRICT OF CALIFORNIA 4 5 UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, Petitioner, 6 v. 7 8 OLD CASE NO: 1:15-cv-00427 AWI SKO NEW CASE NO: 1:15-cv-00427 LJO MJS ORDER RELATING AND REASSIGNING CASE HERLIN TORRES, JR., Respondents. 9 10 11 Review of the above-captioned action reveals that it is related under Eastern District of 12 California Local Rule 123 to United States of America v. Olma Torres, Case No. 1:15-cv-00425-LJO13 MJS. The actions involve the same or similar parties, properties, claims, events and/or questions of 14 fact or law. Accordingly, assignment of the actions to the same district judge and magistrate judge will 15 promote convenience, efficiency and economy for the Court and parties. An order relating cases under 16 this Court’s Local Rule 123 merely assigns them to the same district judge, and no consolidation of 17 cases is effected. 18 On the basis of good cause, the above-captioned action is reassigned to U.S. District Judge 19 Lawrence J. O'Neill and U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael J. Seng, with new Case No. 1:15-cv-00427 20 LJO MJS to reflect these reassignments. 21 22 IT IS SO ORDERED. 23 Dated: 24 /s/ Lawrence J. O’Neill March 23, 2015 UNITED STATES DISTRICT JUDGE 25 26 1
