This is Defendant’s first request for 23 extension. Good cause exists to grant Defendant’s request for extension. Additional time is 24 required as counsel for Defendant was out of the office on sick leave last week and has been 25 suffering from debilitating migraines. In addition, Counsel for Defendant has over 50 active 26 pending matters, of which require 2+ responses to dispositive motions per week until mid-July. 27 Due to current workload demands and unanticipated medical leave, Counsel needs additional 28 time to adequately review the voluminous transcript and properly respond to Plaintiff’s Motion 1 1 for Summary Judgment. Counsel for Defendant apologizes for the belated request, but was 2 unable to finish Defendant’s response in time and did not anticipate seeking an extension due to 3 her debilitating migraines. Defendant makes this request in good faith with no intention to 4 unduly delay the proceedings. The parties further stipulate that the Court’s Scheduling Order 5 shall be modified accordingly. 6 7 Respectfully submitted, /s/ *Jacqueline Forslund (*as authorized by email on June 6, 2017) JACQEULINE FORSLUND Attorney for Plaintiff Dated: June 6, 2017 8 9 10 Dated: June 6, 2017 11 12 By 13 14 15 PHILLIP A.
