Plaintiffs,
ORDER REMANDING CASE TO

v.
14 COUNTY OF KERN, et al.,
15
Defendants.

18
On March 8, 2018, the Court dismissed Plaintiffs’ federal claims and deferred ruling on
19 Defendants’ motion to dismiss Plaintiffs’ state-law claims until after Plaintiffs had exhausted their
20 opportunity to amend their federal claims. ECF No. 16. In the Order, the Court granted Plaintiffs 20
21 days to file an Amended Complaint as to their federal claims only. The 20 days have elapsed, and
22 Plaintiffs have not filed an Amended Complaint.
23
The deadline for amendment of the federal claims having expired, there are no remaining federal
24 claims in this action. The Court declines to exercise supplemental jurisdiction over Plaintiffs’ state-law
25 claims, which do not appear to be subject to this Court’s jurisdiction on any independent ground. See
