Petitioner is state prisoner proceeding pro se with a petition for writ of habeas corpus

16 pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254. On January 8, 2018, Petitioner filed a motion to stay, requesting
17 that the Court hold the petition in abeyance while Petitioner exhausts his unexhausted claims in
18 state court. (ECF No. 10).
The Court HEREBY ORDERS that Respondent shall file a response to Petitioner’s
19
20 motion within fourteen (14) days of the date of service of this order. The Clerk of Court is
21 DIRECTED to SERVE a copy of this order on the California Attorney General or his
22 representative.
