No. 21) Defendant. 16 17 18 Currently before the Court is Defendant’s second motion for an extension of time to file a 19 Responsive Brief in this case. (Doc. No. 21.) Defendant requests a twelve-day extension of time 20 to October 21, 2020, in which to file a Responsive Brief. Defendant’s counsel explains that the 21 extension of time is sought because of a family health emergency. The motion states that 22 Defendant’s counsel conferred with Plaintiff’s counsel, who confirmed that Plaintiff does not 23 oppose the requested extension. Plaintiff has not filed an opposition to the motion, and the Court 24 finds no prejudice will result from the requested extension of time. 25 26 27 28 Having considered the motion, the Court finds good cause to grant the requested extension. Accordingly, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED: 1. Defendant’s motion for an extension of time to file a Responsive Brief (Doc. No. 21) is GRANTED; and 1 1 2 2. Defendant’s Responsive Brief shall be filed and served on or before October 21, 2020. All other deadlines in the Court’s Scheduling Order are modified accordingly. 3 4 5 6 IT IS SO ORDERED.
