ARVIZA, 15 Respondent. 16 ORDER ADOPTING FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS, DISMISSING PETITION FOR WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS, AND DIRECTING CLERK OF COURT TO CLOSE CASE (Doc. Nos. 1, 10) 17 18 Petitioner Raoul Lafond is a federal prisoner proceeding pro se and in forma pauperis 19 with a petition for writ of habeas corpus brought pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2241. This matter was 20 referred to a United States Magistrate Judge pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 636(b)(1)(B) and Local Rule 21 302. 22 On July 14, 2022, the assigned magistrate judge issued findings and recommendations 23 recommending that the pending petition be dismissed for failure to state a cognizable habeas 24 claim. (Doc. No. 10.) Those findings and recommendations were served on petitioner and 25 contained notice that any objections thereto were to be filed within fourteen (14) days of service. 26 (Id.) As of the date of this order, petitioner has not filed objections, and the deadline for doing so 27 has passed. 28 1 1 In accordance with the provisions of 28 U.S.C. § 636(b)(1)(C), the court has conducted a 2 de novo review of the case. Having carefully reviewed the entire file, the court holds the findings 3 and recommendations to be supported by the record and proper analysis. 4 Accordingly, 5 1. 6 adopted in full; 7 2.
