UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, Defendant. 19 20 21 22 ----oo0oo---The parties in this case have represented that this 23 case settled. 24 the assigned Magistrate Judge directed the parties to file 25 dispositional documents by September 26, 2024. 26 The Magistrate Judge then ordered plaintiffs to file a motion for 27 approval of a minor’s compromise by October 28, 2024, based on (Docket No. 29.) Pursuant to that representation, 28 1 (Docket No. 30.) 1 the parties’ request for additional time to finalize settlement. 2 (Docket Nos. 31, 32.) 3 did not appear during the Magistrate Judge’s telephonic status 4 conference held on November 5, 2024. 5 United States then filed a status report on November 8, 2024 in 6 which it represented that plaintiffs intended to “promptly” file 7 a motion for minor’s compromise. 8 Notwithstanding the passage of more than two months since that 9 representation, and multiple orders from the Magistrate Judge, 10 plaintiffs still have not filed a request for approval of a 11 minor’s compromise. Plaintiffs did not file such motion and (Docket Nos. 33-35.) The (Docket No. 37.) 12 In light of the foregoing, on or before February 10, 13 2025, the parties shall file a joint status report, and counsel 14 for plaintiffs shall show cause in writing why they should not be 15 sanctioned for failure to comply with the court’s orders. 16 Local Rule 110; Fed.
