On May 25, 2005, defendant's motion to compel arbitration and motion to stay was granted. On December 14, 2005, plaintiff filed a request for further proceedings, and on February 9, 2006, plaintiff's request was granted and this action was reopened and set for status conference on March 2, 2006. On February 15, 2006, defendant filed a motion to confirm the arbitration award, noticing the motion for hearing on March 2, 2006. This motion did not provide the notice required by Local Rule 230. Accordingly, the court will continue this matter to provide plaintiff sufficient time to file an opposition to the motion.
