There are 23 defendants in this case, and it took more than 17 a year to effectuate service on each defendant. As new defendants were answering the complaint 18 quite frequently, the undersigned issued an order on September 30, 2011, that discovery would 19 conclude 90 days following the appearance of the last served defendant and the deadline for 20 filing dispositive motions would be 90 days following the close of discovery. On May 3, 2012, 21 the final defendants were served in this action.
