Plaintiff is a state prisoner proceeding without counsel with a civil rights action

pursuant to 42 U.S.C. ยง 1983. On July 21, 2011, defendant Sullivan filed a motion to compel.

Plaintiff failed to file an opposition to this motion.

Accordingly, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that within twenty-one days from the
20
date of this order, plaintiff shall show cause for his failure to file his opposition; within that time
21
plaintiff shall also file his opposition or statement of non-opposition to the motion to compel;
22
failure to respond to this order will be deemed a waiver of opposition.
