On September 3, 2013, the Court issued a Pretrial Scheduling Order that directed the 25 parties to participate in a Settlement Conference on October 15, 2013, before the Honorable Carolyn K. 26 Delaney. 27 2. 28 By Order dated October 10, 2013, and pursuant to the parties’ stipulation, the Court continued the Settlement Conference to November 18, 2013. 29 Stipulation; Order 30 1 1 3. The United States has served written discovery on Defendant Chabad of California and 2 scheduled depositions of defense witnesses to be completed during the week of November 11, 2013. 3 Defendant Chabad of California did not respond to the written discovery, and the United States filed a 4 motion to compel. On November 5, 2013, the Court granted the United States’ motion to compel the 5 written discovery as well as initial disclosures. Additionally, at the request of counsel for Defendant 6 Chabad of California, depositions set for the week of November 11, 2013, are being continued. 7 8 9 10 4. To ensure that the necessary discovery is produced and depositions are completed before the Settlement Conference, the parties have agreed to continue the Settlement Conference. 5. Upon completion of discovery, the parties have agreed to notify the Court and request a date for the Settlement Conference. STIPULATION 11 12 IT IS HEREBY STIPULATED by and between the parties, acting by and through their counsel of 13 record, that the Settlement Conference currently set for November 18, 2013, be vacated and rescheduled 14 upon joint request by the parties to the Court following the completion of discovery.
