On June 12, 2012, plaintiff filed a request for reconsideration of the magistrate
16
judge’s order filed May 21, 2012 denying his request for appointment of counsel. Under E.D.
17
Local Rule 303(f), a magistrate judge’s orders shall be upheld unless “clearly erroneous or
18
contrary to law.” Upon review of the entire file, the court finds that the magistrate judge’s ruling
19
was not clearly erroneous or contrary to law.

Therefore, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that, upon reconsideration, the order of
21
the magistrate judge filed May 21, 2012 is affirmed.
