HEDGEPETH, Warden, 14 Respondent. 15 ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE / 16 Petitioner is a state prisoner proceeding without counsel, with an application for 17 writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254. On June 9, 2011, respondent filed a motion 18 to dismiss this action as untimely filed. Petitioner has not filed an opposition to the motion. 19 Local Rule 230(l) provides in part: “Failure of the responding party to file written opposition or 20 to file a statement of no opposition may be deemed a waiver of any opposition to the granting of 21 the motion . . . .” 22 Good cause appearing, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that petitioner show cause, 23 within thirty days, why his failure to oppose respondent’s June 9, 2011 motion to dismiss should 24 not be deemed a waiver of any opposition to the granting of the motion, or he shall file an 25 opposition.
