The parties shall confer after the confidential exchange of liability and 10 causation by May 21, 2017, regarding whether to engage in further settlement 11 discussions. Following the meet and confer, the parties shall notify Magistrate 12 Judge Claire if they decide to engage in a further settlement conference, in 13 which case the settlement conference shall be completed by June 26, 2017. 14 Should the case not resolve at a further settlement conference, or otherwise, the 15 parties shall notify the court by June 26, 2017, and the court shall then adopt the 16 modifications to its Scheduling Order set forth below: 17 1.
