THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, FOREST SERVICE, a government entity; EL DORADY COUNTY, a government entity; STATE OF CALIFORNIA [CALTRANS], a government entity; CAMP RICHARDSON RESORT, INC.; KRIS KNOX, and DOES 1 through 25, inclusive, Defendants. 21 22 23 The parties to the above-captioned case hereby submit this joint status report. 24 On November 7, 2014, this Court stayed the above-captioned case, along with Jameson 25 Beach Property Owners Ass’n et al. v. United States, et al., 2:14-cv-00718-MCE-AC, pending 26 settlement negotiations before Magistrate Judge Claire. See Docket No. 178. 27 The parties engaged in two settlement conferences with Magistrate Judge Claire: one on 28 November 6, 2014, and another on January 8 and 9, 2015. The case did not settle, but the parties 29 JOINT STATUS REPORT 1 asked the Court to continue the stay for an additional 30 days, to give the parties a further 2 opportunity to resolve this matter short of further litigation. See Docket No. 188. The parties were 3 not able to resolve this case during this additional 30-day period. However, the parties believe that 4 an additional 14-day period would assist the parties in resolving this case short of further litigation 5 and respectfully ask the Court to continue the stay of proceedings for that period of time.
