ORDER HEIDI LACKNER, 15 Respondent. 16 17 Petitioner, a state prisoner proceeding pro se, has filed a petition for a writ of habeas 18 corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254, together with an application to proceed in forma pauperis. 19 Examination of the in forma pauperis application reveals that petitioner is unable to afford the 20 costs of suit. Accordingly, the application to proceed in forma pauperis will be granted. See 28 21 U.S.C. § 1915(a). 22 Petitioner asks that this action be stayed so that he may exhaust state court remedies with 23 respect to additional claims. Good cause appearing, that request will be granted and plaintiff will 24 be ordered to inform the court when exhaustion has occurred. 25 In accordance with the above, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that: 26 1. Petitioner’s motion to proceed in forma pauperis (ECF No. 2) is granted. 27 2. Petitioner’s motion to stay this action (ECF No. 3) is granted. This action is stayed and 28 the Clerk of the Court is directed to administratively close this case. 1 1 3.
