No. 2:14-cv-497-TLN-EFB PS ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE SOUND INPATIENT PHYSICIANS MEDICAL GROUP, INC., AND DOES 110, inclusive, 16 Defendant. 17 18 The court issued an order setting a status (pretrial scheduling) conference for August 3, 19 2016, and directing the parties to file a joint status report within fourteen days of the scheduled 20 conference. ECF No. 81. The court subsequently approved the parties’ stipulation to continue 21 the scheduling conference and ordered the parties to file a joint status report by October 19, 2016. 22 ECF No. 83. 23 The parties, however, failed to timely file a joint status report. Accordingly, the parties 24 are ordered to show cause why they should not be sanctioned for their failure to comply with the 25 court’s order. See E.D. Cal. L.R. 110 (“Failure of counsel or of a party to comply with these 26 Rules or with any order of the Court may be grounds for imposition by the Court of any and all 27 sanctions authorized by statute or Rule or within the inherent power of the Court.”); see also E.D. 28 Cal. L.R. 183 (“Any individual representing himself or herself without an attorney is bound by 1 1 the Federal Rules of Civil or Criminal Procedure and by these Local Rules.”); Ghazali v. Moran, 2 46 F.3d 52, 53 (9th Cir. 1995) (“Failure to follow a district court’s local rules is a proper ground 3 for dismissal.”). 4 Accordingly, good cause appearing, it is hereby ORDERED that: 5 1.
