COLVIN, Acting Commissioner of Social Security, Defendant. 17 18 Plaintiff seeks judicial review of a final decision of the Commissioner of Social Security 19 (“Commissioner”) denying his application for Supplemental Security Income (“SSI”) benefits 20 under Title XVI of the Social Security Act. ECF No. 2. On November 13, 2014, plaintiff filed an 21 application to proceed in forma pauperis. ECF No. 3. The court issued its order granting 22 plaintiff’s application on November 17, 2014. ECF Nos. 4. That order directed plaintiff to 23 submit a completed summons and copies of his complaint to the United States Marshal’s Service 24 (“USM”) and file a statement with the court that said documents had been submitted to the USM 25 within fourteen (14) days. Id. Plaintiff has yet to file a statement that he has submitted the 26 necessary documents to the USM. 27 28 Accordingly, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that plaintiff shall show cause in writing within fourteen (14) days of the date of this order why this action should not be dismissed pursuant to 1 1 Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 41(b) for failure to prosecute.
