Plaintiff is a state prisoner, proceeding without counsel, with a civil rights action pursuant
17

to 42 U.S.C. § 1983. Pending before the court is defendants’ request for a forty-five days
19
extension of time to respond to plaintiff’s discovery requests. (ECF No. 34.) The responses are
20
currently due on April 29, 2016. The grounds of defendants’ request are that preparing the
21
responses has required meetings with multiple defendants, review of the discovery documents by
22
doctors, etc.

Good cause appearing, defendants’ motion for extension of time is granted. The
24
discovery deadline is June 24, 2016. If plaintiff requires an extension of time to file a motion to
25
compel following receipt of defendants’ discovery responses, he shall file an appropriate motion.
26
Accordingly, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that:
27
1. Defendants’ motion for extension of time (ECF No. 34) is granted;
