This is a civil rights case brought pro se by a California state prisoner. Plaintiff has

13

consented to magistrate judge jurisdiction. (Docket No. 6.) This case was opened when

14

Plaintiff filed a letter complaining about his medical treatment, and describes events that

15

occurred at the California Health Care Facility in Stockton, California, which is located in

16

San Joaquin County. San Joaquin County is located within the venue of the United States

17

District Court for the Eastern District of California. Venue, therefore, properly lies in that

18

district and not in this one. See 28 U.S.C. § 1391(b).
