PARK MANAGEMENT CORP. dba SIX FLAGS DISCOVERY KINGDOM, Defendant. 16 17 MABLE OERTELL, 20 21 22 No. 2:17-cv-00267-TLN-EFB Plaintiff, 18 19 No. 2:15-cv-02105-TLN-DB v. SIX FLAGS ENTERTAINMENT CORP. AND PARK MANAGEMENT CORP., dba SIX FLAGS DISCOVERY KINGDOM, et al., Defendants. 23 24 25 Examination of the above-entitled actions reveals that they are related within the meaning 26 of Local Rule 123(a)(2)-(3). The actions involve the same property, transaction or event and 27 similar questions of fact and the same questions of law, and would therefore entail a substantial 28 duplication of labor if heard by different judges. Accordingly, the assignment of the matters to 1 1 2 the same judge is likely to affect a substantial savings of judicial effort. The parties should be aware that relating the cases under Local Rule 123 merely has the 3 result that these actions are assigned to the same judge. No consolidation of the actions is 4 affected. Under the regular practice of this court, related cases are generally assigned to the judge 5 and magistrate judge to whom the first filed action was assigned. 6 IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED that the action denominated 2:17-cv-00267-TLN-EFB is 7 hereby reassigned to Magistrate Judge Deborah Barnes for all further proceedings. Any dates 8 currently set in the reassigned case only are hereby VACATED. Henceforth, the caption on 9 documents filed in the reassigned case shall be shown as: 2:17-cv-00267-TLN-DB. 10 11 IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Clerk of Court make appropriate adjustments in the assignment of civil cases to compensate for this reassignment. 12 13 Dated: February 15, 2017 14 15 Troy L.
