Pursuant to the Status (Pretrial Scheduling) Order filed on September 9, 2016, the Settlement

22 Conference is currently scheduled for January 30, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. before Magistrate Judge Carolyn K.
23 Delaney. The United States and claimant Anthony Lamar Simmons, appearing in propria persona,
24 hereby stipulate and respectfully request that the Settlement Conference currently set for January 30,
25 2017, at 9:30 a.m. be continued until May 22, 2017, at 9:30 a.m., due to the scheduling of depositions in
26 South Carolina in the near future. The parties believe that the deposition could prove beneficial
27 information for possible settlement.
