ORDER COMPTON COURTS, et al., 15 Respondents. 16 Petitioner, a former state prisoner proceeding pro se, filed an application for a writ of 17 18 habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254. Petitioner paid the filing fee. Petitioner resides in and was convicted in Los Angeles County. Los Angeles County is in 19 20 an area embraced by the United States District Court for the Central District of California. Pursuant to 28 U.S.C § 2241(d), courts in both the district of conviction and the district of 21 22 confinement have concurrent jurisdiction over applications for habeas corpus filed by state 23 prisoners.
