Defendant the United States of America has filed a motion to compel or, in the alternative, a
17 motion for a protective order, ECF 14, which is scheduled to be heard on November 22, 2017. The
18 parties appear to be close to reaching a negotiated resolution of the issues raised in the motion.
19 Accordingly, the United States respectfully requests that the Court continue the hearing until November
20 29, 2017, at 10:00 a.m., with the parties’ joint statement regarding discovery dispute to be filed one
21 week before the hearing. Counsel for plaintiff has informed the government that plaintiff consents to the
22 continuance.
