Petitioner, a state prisoner proceeding pro se, has filed an application for a writ of habeas
16

corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254. Petitioner has not, however, filed an in forma pauperis
18
application or paid the required filing fee ($5.00). See 28 U.S.C. §§ 1914(a); 1915(a). No action
19
can be taken with regards to petitioner’s habeas corpus petition until such time as he submits the
20
in forma pauperis application or pays the filing fee. See L.R. 121(c). Petitioner will be provided
21
the opportunity to either submit the appropriate application in support of a request to proceed in
22
forma pauperis or submit the appropriate filing fee. Failure to comply with this order will result
23
in a recommendation that this action be dismissed.

In accordance with the above, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that:
25
1. Petitioner shall submit, within thirty days from service of this order, an application in
26
support of his request to proceed in forma pauperis provided by the Clerk of the Court, or the
27
appropriate filing fee. Petitioner’s failure to comply with this order will result in dismissal of this
28
action.
