The matter was referred to a United States 19 Magistrate Judge pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 636(b)(1)(B) and Local Rule 302. 20 On February 12, 2021, the court ordered the Office of the Attorney General (“OAG”) to 21 make a special appearance and directed it to provide the names of the two John Doe defendants 22 that plaintiff had been unable to identify, despite having made reasonable efforts to do so. See 23 generally ECF No. 26. The OAG was given thirty days to comply with the court’s order. See id. 24 at 3. On March 12, 2021, the OAG complied with the order and has provided the names of the 25 26 John Doe defendants. See ECF No. 28. They are: Jason Spencer and Edwin Fernand, 27 correctional officers at Solano State Prison.
