Plaintiff is proceeding in this action pro se. The matter was referred to a United States

Magistrate Judge pursuant to Local Rule 302(c).

On January 22, 2018, the undersigned issued an order to show cause no later than
20
February 5, 2018 why this action should not be dismissed for lack of subject matter jurisdiction.

That date has passed, and plaintiff has not filed a response.
Although it appears from the file that plaintiff’s copy of the order was returned, plaintiff
22

was properly served. It is the plaintiff’s responsibility to keep the court apprised of her current
24
address at all times. Pursuant to Local Rule 182(f), service of documents at the record address of
25
the party is fully effective.

Accordingly, IT IS HEREBY RECOMMENDED that this action be dismissed for lack of
jurisdiction.

These findings and recommendations are submitted to the United States District Judge

assigned to the case, pursuant to the provisions of 28 U.S.C. § 636(b)(l). Within fourteen days
5
after being served with these findings and recommendations, plaintiff may file written objections
6
with the court and serve a copy on all parties. Such a document should be captioned
7
“Objections to Magistrate Judge’s Findings and Recommendations.” Plaintiff is advised that
8
failure to file objections within the specified time may waive the right to appeal the District
9
Court’s order. Martinez v. Ylst, 951 F.2d 1153 (9th Cir. 1991).
