ORDER PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, Respondent. 16 17 Petitioner, a state prisoner proceeding pro se, has filed an application for a writ of habeas 18 19 corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254. Petitioner has not, however, filed an in forma pauperis 20 application or paid the required filing fee ($5.00). See 28 U.S.C. §§ 1914(a), 1915(a). Petitioner 21 will be provided the opportunity either to submit the appropriate application in support of a 22 request to proceed in forma pauperis or to submit the appropriate filing fee. 23 In accordance with the above, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that: 24 1. Petitioner shall submit, within thirty days from the date of this order, an application in 25 support of a request to proceed in forma pauperis on the form provided by the Clerk of Court, or 26 the required filing fee in the amount of $5.00; petitioner’s failure to comply with this order will 27 result in a recommendation that this action be dismissed; and 28 //// 1 1 2.
