This is the Defendant’s first request for an extension. 22 This matter was assigned on December 12, 2024. Based on a review of the record, 23 undersigned counsel requires additional time to explore settlement options. Defendant 24 apologizes to the Court for any inconvenience caused by this delay. Undersigned counsel 25 contacted Plaintiff’s counsel on January 2, 2025, and he had no objection to this request. 26 1 27 28 Carolyn Colvin became the Acting Commissioner of Social Security on November 30, 2024. Pursuant to Rule 25(d) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, Carolyn Colvin should be substituted for Martin O’Malley as the defendant in this suit. No further action need be taken to continue this suit by reason of the last sentence of section 205(g) of the Social Security Act, 42 U.S.C. § 405(g).
