1 IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT 2 FOR THE NORTHERN DISTRICT OF CALIFORNIA 3 4 5 DELPHINE ALLEN, et al., 6 7 8 MASTER CASE FILE NO. C00-4599 TEH Plaintiffs, v. ORDER TO FILE SALARY INFORMATION CITY OF OAKLAND, et al., 9 Defendants. 11 For the Northern District of California United States District Court 10 The Court’s December 12, 2012 order provided that the Court would establish the 12 salary of the Compliance Director upon appointment. Before determining an appropriate 13 salary for the Compliance Director, the Court sought the salaries of the Chief of Police and 14 City Administrator for comparison purposes. The Court believed that the most expedient 15 way to obtain that information was for the Monitor to request the information from City 16 officials on behalf of the Court. However, despite the Monitor’s repeated requests beginning 17 earlier this week, the City has been uncooperative. 18 The Court has now hired the Compliance Director and requires the salary information 19 for the order of appointment. As public information, the salary figures should be readily 20 accessible to the City. Accordingly, by no later than Monday, March 4, 2013, at 21 12:00 noon, the City Attorney shall file current salary information, including base salaries 22 and any other monetary compensation, for the Chief of Police and City Administrator. The 23 filed information shall include any projected increases or decreases over the next three years. 24 25 IT IS SO ORDERED. 26 27 Dated: 03/01/13 28 THELTON E. HENDERSON, JUDGE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT
