1 2 3 4 5 IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT 6 FOR THE NORTHERN DISTRICT OF CALIFORNIA 7 8 9 CHRISTINE GRIMES JOHNSON et al., 11 For the Northern District of California United States District Court 10 12 13 14 Plaintiffs, No. C 03-03251-MJJ (WHA) v. CALIFORNIA CONSERVATION CORPS et al., RESPONSE TO GRIEVANCE Defendants. / 15 16 The general duty judge, William Alsup, has received a handwritten grievance from 17 Bridgett Phelps, complaining about, apparently, the death of her sister and other wrongdoing, 18 all in a case that was assigned to the Honorable Martin Jenkins and closed in November 2003. 19 Phelps was not a party in that action. In June 2017, Phelps moved to re-open the case (Dkt. No. 20 21), which motion was denied by the then general duty judge who received the request, Judge 21 Vince Chhabria (Dkt. No. 22). 22 It is not clear from her grievance what further relief, if any, Phelps now seeks. To the 23 extent that she seeks to re-open Case No. 03-cv-03251, that motion is DENIED for the same 24 reasons set forth in Judge Chhabria’s July 11 order. 25 26 IT IS SO ORDERED. 27 28 Dated: July 24, 2017 WILLIAM ALSUP UNITED STATES DISTRICT JUDGE
