Case No. 3:09-cv-02292-VRW Dear Chief Judge Walker: I will not be able to appear for the Attorney General at closing arguments on June 16, 2010. I regret that I will not be in your courtroom for the trial's conclusion, but I have had a long-standing commitment to be abroad from June 10 through June 20. Given the Attorney General's limited role in this case, I did not ask that the date for closing arguments be changed to accommodate my schedule. My colleague, Deputy Attorney General S. Michele Inan, will represent the Attorney General at the hearing on June 16. Ms. Inan has been following the trial with great interest, and will stand ready to assist the Court on request. Sincerely, /s/ Tamar Pachter TAMAR PACHTER Deputy Attorney General For TP: cc: All counsel, via ECF SA2009310603 20284270.doc EDMUND G. BROWN JR.
