On October 12, 2011, the Court received from Defense Counsel a letter requesting to have

16

the authorized representative for the CDCR on telephone standby during the settlement conference

17

scheduled in this case. The request is based on the budgetary constraints faced by the CDCR and the

18

expense of travel between Sacramento and Pelican Bay. Good cause appearing, the request is

19

granted.

20

On September 16, 2011, Plaintiff filed a request for six writs of habeas corpus ad

21

testificandum and six subpoenas for his "witnesses." Plaintiff is informed that this case is set for a

22

settlement conference through the pro se prisoner early settlement program. No witnesses are

23

allowed at such settlement conferences. Accordingly, Plaintiff's request is denied.
