AMARETTO RANCH BREEDABLES,
ORDER RE REQUEST FOR ENTRY
OF JUDGMENT
Plaintiff,
v.
14
OZIMALS INC. ET AL.,
15
Defendants.
/
16
17
Following this Court’s Order Granting in Part and Denying in Part Plaintiff’s
18
(“Amaretto”) Motion for Summary Judgment, Amaretto has requested judgment be entered
19
against Defendant Ozimals, Inc. (“Ozimals”) on Ozimals’ copyright infringement
20
counterclaim. See dkt. 146. Piecemeal judgments are strongly disfavored, and good cause
21
for such an approach has not been offered or established. However, final judgment may be
22
proper if Amaretto does not intend to pursue any remaining claims in its case, such as the
23
claim under California’s unfair competition statute. Accordingly, the Court ORDERS
24
Amaretto to notify the Court how it intends to proceed with any claims remaining in its case.
25
IT IS SO ORDERED.
