Pending before the Court is Plaintiff’s request for entry of default and motion for default

14

judgment, filed May 19, 2011. Subsequent to Plaintiff’s motion, Defendant Wells Fargo Bank filed

15

an Answer to Plaintiff’s Complaint, which potentially renders Plaintiff’s motion moot. However,

16

Defendant has failed to provide any justification for its failure to file a timely response.

17

Accordingly, the Court ORDERS Defendant to show cause why default should not be entered

18

against it. Defendant shall file a declaration by June 16, 2011, after which the Court shall determine

19

if a hearing is necessary.
